HR Anchor are growing.  We have a new opportunity to bring in an Employment Law Paralegal to the team.

In return for hard work, enthusiasm and passion for the business we offer an exceptional holiday entitlement, competitive pay, mental health support and more paid for training than you can shake a stick at.

Our senior management team is packed with approachable people who are prepared to sit down and listen and engage fully in social and team events. Our team brings the human element to human resources! You will be working with people, who are interesting individuals with a passion for the business and full lives outside of work.

Equally you will never be treated like a number!

The Role – Employment Law Paralegal

You will be part of both the Gamlins Law Employment Team and the HR Anchor team, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with national and international clients from start-ups to PLC level, including a number of household names such as Never Fully Dressed and Iconix Group.

Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Undertaking work in relation to our precedent bank, including drafting new precedents
  • Completing handbook and contract reviews
  • Responding to HR queries from existing clients
  • Supporting our Solicitors in relation to legal work on client files
  • Supporting our Solicitor Advocate in relation to our busy tribunal practice
  • Undertaking research
  • Supporting our internal HR professionals in relation to investigatory work
  • Working with our HR Administrator in relation to billing, credit control and managing our database
  • Working with our Sales and Marketing Executive to create content for our social media and YouTube channels (including featuring in content)

Dependent on your experience, you could be assigned your own files and clients who you will be supporting with day-to-day employment and HR issues.

Our Requirements – Employment Law Paralegal

You’ll have at least a foundation of work gained within a respondent legal practice managing business employment and HR files, with a good understanding of the basic areas of employment law.

Ideally, you will be working towards either a CILEX or CIPD accreditation or considering qualifying as a solicitor. However, this is not essential as you will be fully supported in the role to achieve such qualifications – so you’ll need to have a desire to work hard, enhance your skills, and be keen and willing to learn and develop within the role.

The Package

As an Employment Law Paralegal, you’ll join a forward-thinking and friendly firm, where your career development and progression will be fully supported, and where you’ll be encouraged to have a voice and bring fresh ideas to the table.

You will also benefit from:

  • Permanent contract, full time hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (with the option for flexible working hours)
  • 31 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Regular social and charitable events throughout the year
  • Option to join our pension scheme
  • Access to company health cover
